Integrated Business Planning (IBP) is process for the executive team to plan and manage the entire business. A successful IBP process should provide complete control over the organization and its supply chain. Key to the IBP process is a rolling 24 month integrated volumetric and financial plan ('one set of numbers') that covers the product portfolio, demand and supply. It establishes a bottom-up realistic plan and the capability for gap analysis and gap-closing action against targets, business plans, goals and of course strategic plans.
